Entropy Scaling-Based Correlation for Estimating the Self-Diffusion Coefficients of Pure Fluids

A new model for correlating self-diffusion coefficients is proposed here. It based on the entropy scaling concept and makes it possible to quantitatively estimate in any fluid state (subcritical gas liquid as well supercritical states). general relationship between a dimensionless form of coefficient function Tv-residual proposed. This involves thermodynamic properties that were straightforwardly estimated using I-PC-SAFT tc-PR equations (EoSs). First, was parameterized component-specific parameters. To do so, 72 pure components ∼2400 pieces experimental data considered. Second, chemical-family parametrization method used. Four chemical families defined, parameter sets valid all compounds given family estimated. Regardless considered EoS, enables us describe with an average deviation 7.5%, while when parametrization, this reaches 9.5%.
